Rx Performance Data Protection Notice

1. Purpose of this Notice

Rx Performance (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects the privacy of our members, clients, and visitors.
This Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore.

This Notice applies to all personal data collected through our website, online forms, communication channels, and other interactions with Rx Performance. It also applies to our operations as part of Thrive Healthcare Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 201832232H).

2. Collection of Personal Data

We may collect your personal data through various channels, including when you:

  • Register for a membership, class, or event with us.

  • Use our facilities, services, or digital platforms (e.g., booking apps, WhatsApp communication, enquiry forms)).

  • Communicate with us via email, phone, messaging apps, or in-person discussions, or any other possible channels.

  • Are photographed or recorded while at our premises.

  • Participate in surveys, promotions, or feedback sessions.

Examples of data we collect include:

  • Name, NRIC/FIN (where legally required), date of birth, gender

  • Contact information (email, phone number, physical address)

  • Payment and billing details

  • Voluntarily disclosed health or fitness information such as medical history, physical activity readiness forms (e.g., PAR-Q), injury details, or existing medical conditions.

  • Photographs, video recordings, and digital images captured during sessions or events.

 

Health-related data will only be collected and processed for fitness safety or programme design purposes, with access limited to authorised staff.

3. Use of Personal Data

We may use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Managing your membership, class bookings, and payments.

  • Communicating operational updates, policy changes, promotions, and safety advisories.

  • Designing and delivering safe and effective fitness programmes tailored to your needs.

  • Improving our programmes, operations, and customer experience.

  • Marketing and publicity (including photographs or videos of events), unless you opt out in writing.

  • Fulfilling legal or regulatory obligations.

  • Protecting the safety, security, and integrity of our premises, staff, members, and visitors.

By submitting your personal data to us through any digital or physical channel, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your data for these purposes.​

 

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

We may share your Data with: 

  • Employees, trainers, and authorised personnel who require it for operations

  • Third-party service providers engaged by us (e.g., IT support, payment processors, marketing agencies) under strict confidentiality agreements.

  •  Authorities or law enforcement agencies, where required by law.

 

We will never sell or rent, your personal data to unauthorised third parties.

 

5. Retention of Data

  • We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes stated above, or as required by applicable laws and regulations

  • Once no longer needed, your data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal data.

These include:

  • Access controls and password protection

  • Secure data storage and transmission

  • Regular staff training on data protection
     

For cloud-based systems, we work only with reputable service providers that maintain industry-standard data security measures.

  • Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.

  • Withdraw consent for certain uses (subject to legal or contractual limits).

8. Use of Photographs and Videos

By entering our premises or participating in our activities, you consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional or operational purposes.

If you prefer not to appear in such materials, please indicate this when signing up or notify us in writing before your session or event.

We will make reasonable efforts to respect your preference, though incidental or background appearances in group settings may still occur.​

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to enhance user experience and analyse site performance. You can control cookie settings through your browser.

10. Data Transfer Outside Singapore

Your personal data may be transferred to, stored, or processed outside Singapore where our third-party service providers (e.g., cloud hosting or payment platforms) operate.


We take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers comply with the PDPA and that recipients provide comparable protection standards through contractual or certification safeguards.

11. Additional Information on Data Use & Member Responsibilities

Certain topics related to personal data — including emergency medical data use, member data-security responsibilities (e.g., account passwords), and limitations of liability — are set out in our Membership Agreement and Comprehensive Liability Waiver. These documents apply to registered members and govern how Rx Performance handles such situations.

We may update this Notice periodically to reflect legal or operational changes. The latest version will always be available on this webpage, with the “Last updated” date shown above.

All data-handling and consent provisions continue to apply throughout any renewed or extended membership period, including one-time goodwill extensions, without the need for new consent unless required by law.
