The Snatch
The SNATCH is the first of two lifts contested in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. The athlete lifts the barbell from the floor to a stable overhead position in a single action.

The Clean & Jerk
The CLEAN AND JERK is the second of two lifts contested in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. It is a two-part lift that involves lifting a barbell from the ground to the shoulders (the clean), then locking out the barbell overhead (the jerk).
